Many thanks are in order to Henry Boot Community First Endowment Fund for South Yorkshire. Their generous grant in December last year (2015) which was acquired with the help of the South Yorkshire Community Foundation has helped to fund essential maintenance equipment which is used during the summer for the football pitches : i.e. orange barrier netting, new fencing pins and official ‘keep off the grass’ signs. The grant really helps the CDYST to keep the pitch in tip top condition as ever increasing maintenance costs and equipment overdue for replacement is a constant issue to redress each year. 30 ‘whips’ have been kindly donated to the CDYST from The Woodland Trust. These have now been planted.

The much needed hall refurbishment work is now complete thanks to funding from the Big Lottery. Picture shows the main hall with the new efficient heater in place.

The CDYST Trustees have made a new wet-room style shower area in the Ladies’ Changing Rooms, re-plastered the meeting Room walls, re-decorated the Meeting Room & corridor – and are about to have the Sports Hall heating replaced.
